In this character-filled Jordan Village home, the kitchen and main bathroom needed to be updated but remain within their original location. The busy kitchen lacked functional storage and workspace, while the bathroom needed to discreetly accommodate laundry without losing the charm of the older home.

We reimagined the kitchen layout, concentrating on storage while preserving openness around the window. Rich painted cabinetry, durable floor tile and a repurposed farm table with a soapstone countertop create a warm, collected space with flexible room for prep and conversation. In the bathroom, integrated laundry, a custom glass shower and green beadboard maximize function while maintaining the home's character.

Years later, our clients invited us back to redesign the adjoining living room. When gas clearances limited the fireplace options, we incorporated a heritage inspired electric fireplace instead. Custom furniture and window treatments, layered with dark tones, natural materials and cozy textures, transformed the room into a comfortable, welcoming den that feels connected to the rest of the home.
