+ What is included in full-service interior design?

Our full service design offering is intended to guide clients through every stage of creating a home that is beautiful, functional and deeply personal. Whether you are renovating an existing home, building new, or reimagining a space that no longer serves you, we provide a thoughtful and highly tailored experience from concept to completion.

It consists of three major phases Consultation, Design and Implementation. It includes space planning, design concepts, detailed drawings, millwork design, material and finish selections, plumbing and lighting specifications, custom furnishings, window treatments, styling, and collaboration with builders and trades throughout construction. We also oversee procurement, order management, delivery coordination, and installation, ensuring that every layer of the home comes together seamlessly.

Our goal is to alleviate the overwhelm that often accompanies a renovation or furnishing project, allowing our clients to enjoy the process while feeling supported and confident in each decision. The result is a home that reflects your lifestyle, feels cohesive and welcoming, and is thoughtfully designed for the way you live.

+ What happens during the consultation process?

Our consultation is the foundation of everything that follows. It is an opportunity for us to visit your space, understand how you live, and begin defining a clear direction for your project. We will discuss your goals, your timeline, your investment, in order to determine your ultimate wish list. Following the consultation, we prepare a tailored design proposal outlining the recommended scope of services, fees, and next steps. Our goal is for you to leave feeling inspired, informed, and excited about the possibilities ahead.

+ Do you work on renovations and new builds?

Yes. We work on both full renovations and new construction projects, collaborating closely with your architect, general contractor, and trades from the earliest stages. We all have different roles to play and provide unique value to the client. Our involvement early on ensures that design decisions are made with intention and that every detail is considered well before it is built. 

+ When should I hire a designer during a renovation?

Ideally, as early as possible and certainly before construction begins. Early involvement allows us to shape decisions that are far more difficult and costly to change once building is underway. The sooner we are part of the conversation, the smoother and more cohesive the entire process will be.

+ What locations does Sprague Interiors serve?

Sprague Interiors is based in St. Catharines and proudly serves clients throughout the Niagara Region, including Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby, Beamsville, Jordan Station, Fonthill, and the greater Hamilton and Burlington areas. We are open to work with clients from any location when the project aligns. We would love to travel to help you with your vacation home!

Following this conversation, we provide a detailed design proposal outlining the scope of work, fees, and what to expect throughout the process.

+ Do you offer furnishing and decorating services only?

Yes. In addition to renovations and new builds, we offer full-service interior decorating and custom furnishings for clients who are looking to refresh, complete, or reimagine their home without undertaking construction.

These projects may include furniture layouts, custom upholstery, bespoke furnishings, window treatments, rugs, lighting, artwork and styling. We work with local workrooms and makers as much as possible. We also love to repurpose heirloom furnishings and incorporate vintage pieces with meaning. 

Our decorating projects are approached with the same level of care and attention to detail as our renovations and new builds, resulting in homes that feel cohesive, collected, and personal.

How long does a project usually take from start to completion?

Every project is unique, and timelines can vary depending on the scope of work, level of customization, construction schedules, and product lead times. While some decorating projects may come together over the course of a few months, larger renovations and new builds often span many months or years. Custom homes take the most time.

We encourage our clients to view the process as a journey rather than a transaction. Creating a home that feels thoughtful, personal, and beautifully resolved takes time, care, and collaboration. Many of our clients appreciate that the relationship extends well beyond the initial design phase as we guide selections, support construction, oversee procurement, coordinate installations, and help layer in the finishing touches that make a house truly feel like home.
