After more than two decades in their home, our clients were ready to create an interior that finally reflected their personal style. Entering the empty-nester stage of life, they wanted a sophisticated but playful home designed for entertaining, while still welcoming family gatherings.
The biggest challenge was a dark, confined kitchen in the centre of the house. With structural constraints preventing a fully open floor plan, we found another solution: relocating the kitchen to the rear of the home, where large windows and southern exposure could fill it with natural light. We also carved out space for a dedicated scullery, creating a bright secondary prep and storage area that keeps the main kitchen ready for entertaining.
Other spaces were designed around our clients' individual interests, including a custom home office that doubles as a sophisticated music lounge and a jewel-box powder room layered with colour, pattern and personality.
Rich wood, mixed metals, custom millwork and pattern bring warmth and character throughout. The result is a highly personal home that feels grown-up without being too serious, designed for the way our clients want to live in this next chapter.
