For this young family in Grimsby, Ontario, the goal was to create a home where they could put down roots, with spaces designed to work better for everyday family life. Their dark, undersized kitchen was the starting point. We reconfigured the layout and transformed an adjacent office into a butler's pantry, adding valuable storage and dedicated space for coffee, food prep and even an indoor herb garden.

With limited room for a traditional dining table, a custom banquette built into the back of the island created a comfortable gathering place without sacrificing flow. The kitchen's warm, organic palette is balanced by a bolder butler's pantry, bringing colour and personality to the home.

The mudroom and powder room were designed to be hardworking but character-filled, with durable materials and thoughtful storage for a busy family.
