We actually suggest that you begin any decorating, renovation or new build by thinking about the design, function and layout first. We will provide you with a variety of valuable information that could otherwise get overlooked and help set you up for success from the start.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO WORK WITH US?
Your decision to hire an interior design professional for your home is an investment in your future well-being and quality of life. The value that we as professionals bring to the table extends far beyond just picking paint colours and furniture. Along with the long list of deliverables that we provide, we also offer important intangibles such as creativity and attention to detail. The benefit for you as a client is a home that is beautiful and functional, a home that cultivates a better way of living. We understand that everyone has a different comfort level when it comes to the amount they wish to invest in a project and we don't shy away from talking about it. We work with you to identify your Wishlist and develop a realistic estimate required to implement that list. While it is impossible to say how much your specific Wishlist is going to cost without going through our process, we do advise what you can expect to pay for design fees early on. For our full service design, our fees are based on a combination of square footage and scope of work. Our typical design fees will total approximately 10% of the entire cost of the job as estimated by the contractor. We bill flat fee for the design phase and hourly for the implementation phase. The minimum level of investment required for the typical type of project we accept starts at $50k for decorating and $100K for design involving renovations or new builds (excluding design fees).

WHAT IS IMPLEMENTATION?
Our organized design process consists of three phases; consultation, design and implementation. The implementation phase is arguably the most important part of the process where we oversee the logistics of construction and procurement, ensuring that your project unfolds as the design was intended. When the design phase is complete our job is only partially done. As you head into construction or renovation, the logistics will get tricky and this needs to be managed by an experienced professional. We work in co-operation with your general contractor to bring your design to life. We ensure that all materials, furnishings and window coverings are ready as needed and that install day is successful. We also work to fix any problems as they arise. We collaborate with the contractor to create viable solutions if changes are required due to unforeseen circumstances. Our work behind the scenes will save you time and stress so you are free to carry on with your day to day life.
